Who we are

DB's Fish and Chips ("we") runs this website at https://www.dbfishandchips.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal information collected through it.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), event details and message. We also store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to stop spam and abuse. It cannot be used to identify you.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A single strictly necessary cookie is used only in the password-protected admin area.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, provide a quote and, if you book, to deliver your event. Our lawful basis is your consent and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We never sell or share your details for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted within 24 months. Booking records are kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes.

Where it's stored

Enquiries are stored securely on our web server and sent to our business email inbox.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent at any time, by contacting us via the contact form or at dbylett@googlemail.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
